Fresco Inspired Mural at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, January 2025
My first project while shadowing Professor Suresh K. Nair at Banaras Hindu University involved studying and applying traditional Fresco-secco mural techniques— preparing plaster walls, and painting using natural pigments and a lime-based medium. We began this mural project in January, in the Controller of Examinations office, and spent the month layering acrylic washes to create a modern interpretation of the Kerala style.
